It’s Pride Month, when people across the country celebrate the LGBTQ+ community. This is the month when there are parades, gatherings, and other celebratory events and themes that put the LGBTQ+ community in the spotlight.

Those that are paying attention have seen – clearly – how much the LGBTQ+ community has been under attack recently politically and socially throughout the United States. Yet, even prior to these recent attacks, “Pride Month” has still been incredibly important.

On our most recent podcast, sat down with Hunter Coggins, LMSW and Andi Frobosilo, LMSW from Long Island Crisis Center’s PFY (formerly “Pride for Youth”) and we talk about the value of parades, validation, and awareness – and how activities like Pride Parades can *literally* save lives.
