So often, the holiday season is portrayed as a time of joy and celebration. Yet, for so many, it is a time of sadness and mourning. For those with a deep connection to the holiday season – one where family was prioritized – the holidays are also a reminder of those that are no longer with us, and those that no longer have a place in our lives.

Competing emotions are allowed to co-exist, and it is perfectly reasonable for the holiday season, especially, to have complex feelings of nostalgia, loss, joy, and so much more.
In the spirit of the holiday season, we talk about this on our podcast, Why Do People Do That:
Stacy and Heather talk about the pressure that we often experience at this time to feel joyful, the challenges that so many of us face during this period of time, and so much more.
